Case Western Reserve University Takes Major Leap in Scientific Research with New Engineering and Science Building

Turner to lead team in constructing $300 million engineering and science center at Ohio University

Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio has secured a contract with Turner Construction and its consortium partners to construct an engineering and science building. This new 189,000 sq ft facility will be the first new research structure at the university in over twenty years, housing wet labs, dry labs, and other research spaces.

The fully American team, consisting of Adrian Maldonado & Associates, Next Generation Construction, the AKA Team, and Turner Construction, will be working together on this project. With an estimated cost of $300 million, the project will cover design, equipment, and relocation work.

Adrian Maldonado, president of Adrian Maldonado & Associates, expressed his excitement about the project: “The completion of this cutting-edge facility will further solidify Case Western Reserve University’s position as a leading institution in the study of science and engineering throughout the country.” The completion of the building is scheduled for 2026.
