AEE Solar, a California-based equipment distributor, announced that they will be closing their doors on May 3, 2024. As part of the closure, they are currently selling off the remaining inventory at clearance prices.
The company was founded in 1979 as Alternative Energy Engineering by solar enthusiast David Katz in Redway, California. They originally specialized in off-grid equipment before expanding to become a significant distributor in the residential market in California.
In 2014, AEE Solar was acquired by Sunrun along with SnapNrack. In a message to their customers about the closure, AEE Solar recommends reaching out to their territory sales manager for potential opportunities to purchase directly from SnapNrack in the future.
Just last year, AEE Solar opened a massive 140,000-ft2 distribution center in Visalia, California, signaling their commitment to serving their customers with excellence until the very end. For more information on AEE Solar’s closure, please refer to their statement provided below.
