Bunko for Basketball: A Green and Gold Fundraiser for Southeastern Louisiana University’s Women’s Basketball Program

Southeastern Louisiana University’s women’s basketball program is set to benefit from a unique fundraising event, Bunko for Basketball, presented by North Oaks Health System. The event will take place on Friday, May 3 at the SLU War Memorial Student Union Ballroom. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., followed by fast-paced Bunko games starting at 7 p.m. There will be raffles, prizes, and a silent auction, all with a Green and Gold theme. This event is open to adults aged 21 and above.

Tickets are currently on sale for $45 online at www.LionSports.net/bunko2024 or at the LAA office in the Dugas Center for Southeastern Athletics, as well as from members of the Southeastern women’s basketball coaching staff and PRIDE. Admission on the day of the event is $50. The proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the Green and Gold Coaches Club, which supports the SLU women’s basketball program. This year’s event marks the 12th annual fundraiser for the women’s basketball program.

Head coach Ayla Guzzardo expressed her excitement about Bunko for Basketball, emphasizing that it provides an opportunity for fans to have fun while also supporting student-athletes and staff members of the SLU women’s basketball team. For more information on sponsorship opportunities or to stay updated on Southeastern Women’s Basketball, individuals can contact the LAA office at (985) 549-5226 or (985) 549-5091 or follow @LionUpWBB on Twitter and Instagram and like /SoutheasternWBB on Facebook.

It is important to note that Southeastern Athletics has implemented a clear bag policy for all ticketed events, which can be reviewed in detail at www.LionSports.net/clear.

In conclusion, Bunko for Basketball is an excellent opportunity to support Southeastern Louisiana University’s women’s basketball program while having fun with friends and family over dinner and games of Bunko!
