Juventus is open to selling Federico Chiesa this summer for a relatively low price of €25m (£21.8m). Despite being in the final year of his contract, Chiesa is not part of new head coach Thiago Motta’s plans for the upcoming season. The 26-year-old winger scored 10 goals in 37 appearances last season and is set to leave the Italian side.
Although there was interest from Premier League teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool in the past, Chiesa is likely to leave Juventus this summer. He played a crucial role in Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph and was named to the Team of the Tournament. However, his time at Juventus has been marred by injury issues, including an ACL problem that kept him out of action for much of the past two seasons.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus’ asking price for Chiesa includes add-ons, and a sale is expected to happen this summer. The club has no plans to extend his contract, signaling that his departure from Turin is imminent.
It remains unclear which club will secure Chiesa’s services this summer. Nevertheless, he has proven himself on both domestic and international stages as a talented winger with impressive goal-scoring ability.
