Bengals Running Back Chase Brown: Preparing for Increased Workload in 2024 through Self-Care and Focus on Physical Well-Being

Bengals running back Chase Brown is gearing up for an increased workload in 2024 as his former teammate Joe Mixon has moved on to Houston. Brown, who served as a backup to Mixon last season and had only 44 carries for 179 yards without scoring any touchdowns, has been preparing his body for this opportunity during the offseason.

Brown’s focus on self-care is evident as he competes with Zack Moss for the starting running back position. He has hired professionals to assist him in maintaining his physical well-being, including a trainer, physical therapist, and masseuse who visit him multiple times a week at his home. Brown emphasizes the importance of investing in his body and craft while others may prioritize different activities during the offseason.

During his time in college at Illinois, Brown demonstrated his ability to handle a significant workload by carrying the ball 328 times for 1,643 yards in his senior season. While he may not receive as many carries in Cincinnati this season, Brown is prepared to make the most of every opportunity he is given by the Bengals.
