The Armenian government has installed 28 border posts as part of the coordinate adjustment works on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, representing about 35 percent of the planned works, according to a recent report. Expert groups from both countries are continuing their work on the border, and 20 border signs have been placed along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. However, specific border demarcation works near the Kirantsi bridge in the Tavush marz region are not visible.
Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of Parliament, Armen Khachatryan, previously informed “Azatutyan” that the border demarcation process in the Tavush and Kazakh sectors had already been completed. This progress on the border posts and signs is part of ongoing efforts to delineate the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
