Apple has recently unveiled the latest version of the iPad Pro, which features advanced technology designed to provide an optimal user experience for both professionals and general users. The new iPad Pro will be available in stores on May 15 and comes in two screen sizes: 11 inches and 13 inches. The 11-inch model is 5.3mm thick and weighs under 450 grams, while the 13-inch model is slightly thinner at 5.1mm and weighs 110 grams less than its predecessor. Both models are made from 100% recycled aluminum and are available in silver and space black.
The new iPad Pro’s standout feature is its Ultra Retina XDR display, which is touted as the world’s most advanced display. Utilizing OLED Tandem technology, it increases screen brightness up to 1000 nits for SDR content and 1600 nits for HDR, allowing for precise control of color and brightness at the pixel level, essential for professionals requiring accurate color management.
Powering this advanced display is Apple’s M4 chip, which features up to four performance cores and six efficiency cores while introducing technologies like mesh shading and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. This makes it particularly effective for AI applications, with the Neural Engine in the M4 chip capable of performing up to 38 trillion operations per second.
Apple has also introduced new accessories for the iPad Pro to expand its functionality, including the Apple Pencil Pro priced at €149 euros and a new Magic Keyboard starting at €349 euros. In addition, the iPadOS operating system has been updated with new features such as Stage Manager and improved support for external monitors to enhance its versatility and capability as a device.
