AOC’s AGON has released a new 27-inch Q27G3XMN/BK monitor that is designed for gamers seeking high-performance HDR gaming at an affordable price point. The monitor features a Fast VA panel with QHD (2560×1440) resolution and MiniLED backlighting technology, providing 336 dimming zones and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification for an immersive HDR experience.
The Full Range Local Dimming (FALD) backlight solution enhances the HDR experience by allowing some parts of the screen to be completely black while keeping others at a very high brightness. The monitor also offers a 10-bit color depth (8-bit + FRC), producing 1.07 billion colors and high color gamut coverage (+95% DCI-P3).
In terms of performance, the monitor provides smooth and responsive gameplay with an 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response time. It is equipped with an ergonomic stand that offers numerous options for height, tilt, rotation, and adjustment, as well as Flicker-Free technology and Low Blue to protect your eyes during prolonged gaming. The Shadow Control option allows gamers to adjust shadow levels and highlights to customize their visual experience of gameplay and easily see enemies hiding in dark corners.
Additionally, the monitor supports Adaptive-Sync, which eliminates tearing and stuttering by allowing for a variable refresh rate. It also comes with a Dial Point overlay for precise aiming in FPS gaming and features OSD adjustment options that can be accessed using software or the OSD buttons on the monitor itself.
AGON by AOC has announced a recommended retail price of €399 euros, making it available in November this year.
