The Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI), a joint venture between the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University, and Northwestern Mutual, is set to host its second annual symposium on April 24 at the UWM Student Union. This event is open to the public and aims to explore the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential impact on innovation and society.
Throughout the day, attendees will have access to various sessions that delve into different aspects of AI, featuring experts from both industry and academia. They will also have the opportunity to network with other professionals in the field of AI and data science. The symposium will kick off with a fireside chat featuring NMDSI leadership, UWM Chancellor Mark Mone, Marquette President Michael Lovell, and Northwestern Mutual Chief Customer Officer Christian Mitchell. Following this chat, there will be a keynote address by Chris Wiggins, a Columbia University professor and author, discussing how data-driven products and automated decision systems are shaping our political, professional, and personal experiences.
