The Safford Spotlight on Small Business event is just a few days away, and only a few seats remain. This event will take place at the Manor 415 Convention Center on Monday, April 1st. Small business owners have the opportunity to meet with city officials and discuss how they can improve their success in Safford.
The event will feature Safford Mayor Richard Ortega, City Manager John Cassella, and other city staff members. They will be able to share what is working well and what improvements could be made. Attendees will also learn about the business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department, and new reporting requirements for the Financial Crimes Network of the IRS.
Even experienced small business owners may benefit from this event as Mayor Ortega emphasized that attendees may learn something new. The event will start with a continental breakfast and networking at 7:00 am followed by a 90-minute program at 7:30 am.
The attendance is free but seats must be reserved online through Eventbrite before they run out. This event is sponsored by the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and the Safford Downtown Association.
