Bethesda confirms The Elder Scrolls IV is still in development and marks the saga’s 30th anniversary

Bethesda recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls video game saga, using the occasion to confirm progress on the new installment, The Elder Scrolls 6. While details have been scarce since the game was announced at the E3 event in 2018 with a short presentation trailer, Bethesda expressed excitement about returning to Tamriel and playing the first versions of the game.

The saga, which began with Arena in 1994, has evolved over the years with games like Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, the latter of which won Best Game at The Game Awards in 2011. Aside from the main series, Bethesda has also released other titles like The Elder Scrolls Online and The Elder Scrolls: Blades for mobile devices. They are also working on projects like The Elder Scrolls: Castles, a castle builder game for smartphones.

Bethesda expressed gratitude for the support of players over the past 30 years and looks forward to continuing the saga for the next 30 years. In addition to celebrating the anniversary and teasing the new game, Bethesda also announced the release of other projects and updates in the mobile gaming world. They remain committed to providing engaging and innovative gaming experiences for their players.
